AI for ADR

ADR is one of the most irritating things about making movies. It’s hard to schedule, it requires actors to get back into a role they may have moved on from, it’s EXPENSIVE, it’s slow, and the results are still not that great!

Early movies didn’t even have sound. Later, filmmakers could record sound alongside the video on film, but the noise of the camera meant that all the lines had to be re-recorded post facto. That’s why the sound on older movies is so “present,” because they didn’t use room tones and all that to sell the idea that the characters were still in the space. Over time, systems and improved so filmmakers could use the sound from on-set performances more often, but it’s still not perfect. And in the age of digital productions, ADR remains a major part of the process.

Dialogger.ai started with the simple proposition that AI could help streamline this process! Our R&D has led us to make a system that is flexible, emotional, and incredibly powerful.

We’ve been focused from the jump on ethical AI. So we have been collecting our own data in-house with skilled people so our AI is super emotionally resonant.

We’ve got deals in place to work with SAG-AFTRA on any union set, as well as for any independent production.
